Kolašin 1450 and Kolašin 1600 Ski Resorts Set to Reconnect This Winter
Good news for winter sports enthusiasts in Montenegro! The K7 cable car, connecting two major ski resorts on Mount Bjelasica — Kolašin 1450 and Kolašin 1600 — is expected to resume operations during the 2026/2027 winter season. The lift has been out of service since spring 2024 due to ground instability near one of its support towers. Restoration work has now been completed, and the next step is a technical inspection by specialists from the Austrian company Doppelmayr. The reopening of K7 will reconnect the two resorts, restoring access to approximately 10 kilometres of ski slopes that have been unavailable for the past two seasons. If all inspections are successful, skiers and snowboarders will be able to enjoy a combined network of approximately 45 kilometres of slopes this winter. The official reopening date has yet to be announced.
